BARN AND GARDEN
EMU
The emu is a large, flightless bird native to the open plains and forests of Australia. With its long legs and shaggy brown feathers, it can run at impressive speeds to escape predators. Emus are curious and social, often seen wandering in pairs or small groups. They forage for plants, seeds, and insects, and their deep booming calls carry across the landscape, announcing their presence to other emus nearby.
